After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are His judgments. He has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted the earth by her adulteries. He has avenged on her the blood of His servants. And again they shouted: Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever. Revelation 19:1-3 We've been experiencing some remarkable winter weather. It looks like March will come in with temperatures well above normal. The old saying is that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Perhaps this year will be the reverse. That's the way it is with the Advents (Comings) of Jesus Christ. He came first as the Lamb of God and will return as the Lion of Judah. I just finished reading a book called Is This the End by Dr. David Jeremiah. He talks a lot about the state of our nation and world including the rise of ISIS, rising intolerance, the isolation of Israel, and Russian insurgence. The latter part of the book is focused on the Rapture of the Church and the Great Tribulation period that will come on Earth prior to the millennial reign of Christ. Revelation 19 describes what it will look like when Christ returns in power to restore authority and righteousness on the Earth. It reads, Out of His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On His robe and on His side He has this name written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Before that day there will be hell on Earth. God will pour out His wrath on man's rebellion toward His righteous rule. The Bible tells us that God's people will escape the wrath of God. Christians will be called out of this world to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). That's called the Rapture. It could occur at any moment. This is the grand event God's people should be expecting and looking for. Jesus told us to be ready, for it will come at a time people are not expecting it, and just going about life. Many will not be ready for the Lord, and will be left behind to face the horrendous things that will happen on Earth. The question is, Are you ready? (Hebrews 2:3a). Jesus is the salvation provided by God. Believe in Him and receive Him today! Look up, your redemption is drawing near. Pastor Jim
